The Bewirtungsbeleg App is on the App Store

The Bewirtungsbeleg App is available on the App Store. It is meant for everyone who no longer wants to collect business meal receipts in a shoebox: self-employed people, freelancers and business owners.

Please note: The app itself is in German. The Bewirtungsbeleg is a German tax document, so the interface and the PDF are German.

What the app does

• Scan the invoice. The document scanner finds the edges of the receipt, straightens it and cuts away the background.
• Add the details. Occasion, participants, amounts. You save your name and signature once.
• Hand over the PDF. The self-issued voucher (Eigenbeleg) and the invoice are in one document, with a receipt ID and the time of approval.

What mattered to us

VAT follows the day of the meal, not today’s rate. If you are a small-business owner, you set that once in the settings. A completed receipt is locked; corrections go through a correction receipt that refers to the original.

All receipts stay on your device. There is no server and no user account.

Putting it in context

The app is a form-filling aid and not tax advice. Whether a receipt is accepted is decided by the tax office in each individual case. More on this on the page Nutzung und Haftung (terms of use and liability, in German).
